I recently met Brian Schutt. He has created a company called chipondeals.com. It’s basically like Groupon but it’s only for golf. They launched last week in the Indy market.

Interested golfers sign up at www.chipondeals.com and enter their email address and the promo code 7e5576e to be identified as an IWGL member referral. Members to the site will receive 2 or 3 emails max a week. The first offer was $18 for two 18 hole rounds at Pleasant Run GC on the southside. Brian told me that he’s been in talks with courses all around town (and a little outside– think Bear Slide and Trophy Club). It doesn’t cost anything to sign up and there are no fees (unless you buy the deal)– so same set up as Groupon.
