Volunteers needed for a fitness study

is a national study that I have been involved with and we just a couple months to collect data. The findings will be presented at The World Golf Fitness Summit in 2012, sponsored by The Titleist Performance Institute. I would love to have more golfers participate, (you too) especially more women. I am attaching some information and hoping that you could share this with the IWGL membership! I recently met Brian Schutt. He has created a company called chipondeals.com. It’s basically like Groupon but it’s only for golf. They launched last week in the Indy market.

Interested golfers sign up at www.chipondeals.com and enter their email address and the promo code 7e5576e to be identified as an IWGL member referral. Members to the site will receive 2 or 3 emails max a week. The first offer was $18 for two 18 hole rounds at Pleasant Run GC on the southside. Brian told me that he’s been in talks with courses all around town (and a little outside– think Bear Slide and Trophy Club). It doesn’t cost anything to sign up and there are no fees (unless you buy the deal)– so same set up as Groupon.

I hope this finds you all staying cool the last few days!

On August 3rd we are hosting a Fun Day at Oak Tree Golf Course. Lynn Stellman and Debbie O’Connell will be joining me for a two hour clinic, followed by Happy Hour at Red Robin restaurant in Plainfield. For those of you who do not know Lynn and Debbie, they both are 2010 Top 50 LPGA Teaching Professionals.
